The One Person Project (Okanagan) is a grass roots organization committed to establishing an enduring connection with the citizens of Kahama, Tanzania.
One Person co-founder Brenda Lowe wanted to make a difference and bridge the divide between Canada and Africa and discovered that others in the Okanagan were prepared to do more than just talk.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Kahama Library Project! The shipping crate was also filled with educational and medical supplies, sports equipment, sewing machines and 65 large plastic totes containing items for 65 families.

Thank you to everyone who has donated in any way to the Kahama Library.
A forty-foot shipping container in the Wal-Mart Penticton parking lot has been filled with books and other essential items and will be retrofitted as a functional library once it arrives in Kahama, Tanzania.
The forty foot shipping container is on its way with over 16,000 books! An amazing achievement which will transform many lives now and in the future.
Thanks to the people of B.C. we have raised the $25,000 required to ship and set up the library at the Korogwe Primary School, Kahama! See the latest photographs on facebook
As well as books the shipping container is carrying school resources, sewing machines, soccer equipment, gardening tools and medical equipment - including hospital beds, bedding and wheelchairs. Also 65 families will be receiving plastic totes filled with gifts and essential items.

Calling all soccer players!
Kahama 3rd Annual Benefit Match 2010
Thank you to SOYSA and Okanagan children and families, for supporting soccer and girl's netball in Kahama. We are looking for members of the public to make up teams for next year's tournament (doctors, teachers, businesses for example).
Thank you to John Holman, the U21 Penticton Pinnacles and the players who made up the Okanagan Select Eleven team in this year's match. The score was 5 - 2 to the Pinnacles! Check out the One Person Facebook Group for pictures.
